Watch: Lonzo Ball is back dunking again
Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball. Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Lonzo Ball has not played in an NBA game for two and a half years due to multiple knee problems. He is still recovering, but he is showing that he is progressing.

Mental fitness coach Chris Jones shared a video on Instagram Friday that showed Ball dunking the ball.

While that type of dunk won’t exactly win Ball a Slam Dunk Contest, just being able to get up enough to throw that down is progress.

Ball suffered a torn meniscus in 2022. He received a cartilage transplant in his knee in 2023, and he missed all of this season due to continued discomfort. There was even a rumor that Ball’s knee was so bad that he had difficulty standing up out of a chair.

It’s been so long since there has been positive news surrounding the 26-year-old. Ball will probably take the wins where he can get them.
