The Baltimore Ravens signed a solid bunch of free agents after the 2024 NFL Draft. The team looked for help in several areas, including the running back room and secondary. There’s one player, however, who is most likely to make the 2024 team roster as an undrafted free agent. Here are some reasons why Maryland football offensive lineman Corey Bullock is the most likely to be a Raven this coming year.

Bullock is an absolute beast of a lineman. The left guard started in 11 games for the team during the 2023 season for the Terrapins. He clocks in at 6-foot-4, and 331 pounds. With that size, he will have no problem pushing around opposing defensive linemen on the practice field, or in games.
Bullock not only has the strength to be an NFL lineman, he also has the smarts. Bullock finished the 2023 season with the Pro Football Focus’ second-best pass blocking grade for Big Ten Conference guards. He was an All-Big Ten honorable mention at the end of the season, due to that kind of production.
The guard got the job done not just in the Big Ten, but in another conference as well. Bullock started his career at North Carolina Central, where he was named an HBCU All-American in 2022, per Sports Illustrated. He also won All-MEAC awards while playing for North Carolina Central for four seasons. Bullock has a laundry list of accolades to his name, and it is somewhat surprising that he wasn’t drafted to begin with. Baltimore got a steal with this undrafted free agent.
Ravens 2024 needs
What makes Bullock such a great fit for the Ravens this season is that he fits one of the team’s biggest needs. Ravens coach John Harbaugh has stated he was looking to strengthen the team’s offensive line in the 2024 Draft. The Ravens did that, by selecting two linemen. Baltimore used their second round pick on offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten from Washington. In the final round, the team took center Nick Samac from Michigan State, another Big Ten school.
Those two players fill needs at center and tackle, but not guard. That’s where Bullock comes in. The guard will perfectly compliment those two other rookies, and give the Ravens valuable depth at each spot along the offensive line. Baltimore is looking for the help on the line after a disappointing performance in the 2023 NFL Playoffs. The Ravens allowed 41 sacks total during the regular season, but things went wrong in the postseason. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was sacked 7 times in two playoff games, and the team missed the Super Bowl.
Bullock is from just down the road in Accokeek, Maryland. Having spent his entire life in the Mid-Atlantic region, the Ravens coaches should be familiar with what the lineman can do. It seems that the pieces are just falling into place perfectly for the guard. While he was at Maryland, the Terrapins went 8-5, including a win in the Music City Bowl over Auburn. Bullock is also working on slimming down, per Sports Illustrated. If he is able to become quicker with his feet, he will add even more versatility to his game.
Bullock is one of several undrafted free agents who signed with Baltimore this offseason. Time will tell if he is able to work his way onto the Opening Day roster. The opportunity is certainly there for the young man, and so is the need for his services from the Ravens.
