FB Owen Schmitt signs with the Raiders
Owen Schmitt signed a 1-year deal with the Oakland Raiders, the team confirmed Tuesday.
The move appears to be insurance in the event that FB Marcel Reece does not sign his exclusive rights free-agent tender. Reece started 26 games at fullback for the Raiders over the last 2 seasons, and is not participating in the team's voluntary workouts.
