R.I.P. George Carlin

Shocking...but I guess he was getting up there in years.

Yeah, he looked in pretty bad shape in his HBO special from last year.

I just came across this, first reported just a few days ago (June 17). Carlin was supposed to receive the 2008 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor this November:

Rest in peace, my man. I thought he had lost an edge in recent years, but he was still spot on in most of his observations. I was just thinking about him last night; his views have influenced mine greatly. I will miss him.

Nice Harvey - this was one of the 1st bits I ever heard from Carlin and it got me completely hooked. I repeated it to anybody who would listen (still do).

Mine to, greatest comic ever!

I found out about this last night. i was so bummed. His realist views and the satire that he spit out was genious. A little eye opeining too.

He will be missed .
