Former Maine Black Bear Selected in NBDL Draft
And it isn't someone like Kevin Reed or Mark "Flava" Flavin either. It is one Dominique Scales, who was drafted in the third round by the Los Angeles D-Fenders, an affiliate of the Lakers. Scales played one season at Maine after transferring in from a junior college. He appeared in 15 games in the 2005-06 season for the Black Bears, playing 4.3 minutes a game and averaging 1.0ppg and 0.9rpg. Scales then transferred to Division II East Central, where he averaged 8.0ppg and 5.0rpg in one season of play.
So basically the moral of the story is, there is hope for you Jimmie Covington to be a NBDL Draft selection. LINK (ECU Release) NBDL Draft Board
