playoff update

Hey everyone, hope all is well in the yard. I have been busy the last few weeks doing school and coaching appearances along with a full schedule of our own with the Stealth. I thought I'd stop in and give everyone a heads up with what's going on in the NLL and in Stealth world.

After a decisive win over Edmonton this past Sunday, we currently sit atop the Western Division with an 8-6 record. That will guarantee us at least one home game in the playoffs, our first I believe in 3 or 4 years, and my first as a member of the Stealth. We put ourselves in a position to win the West if we were to win the remaining two games on our schedule. We have Portland and Colorado the next two Friday's at home. As much as it has cleared up a little for us, the rest of the league is an absolute mess. The only other team locked in, is Colorado, but they can go anywhere from 1st to 4th. The East is an absolute mess with every team still in the playoff picture with only two weeks left on the schedule!!!! Most teams can finish anywhere from 1st to 6th!!! As I said in an earlier blog, this is on of the most appealing things about the NLL….it is unpredictable and almost always comes right down to the end!!!

I won't bother making any predictions as I really don't know what to expect down the stretch, and really my only concern is the Stealth!! We have had an up and down year, but really need to play well down the stretch to make sure we are heading in the right direction come playoff time. This is always the best time of year for lacrosse, as every shift has consequences and every shift has meaning.

I will keep everyone posted as the NLL playoff scenario moves closer and closer. Keep you eyes on games this weekend as every single one of them has massive playoff implications.

I hope to be able to get some video up sometime in the near future to help show off the great game of lacrosse.

I've got to go, the Habs just went up 1-0 in game 4 on the road!!!

Cheers,

What kind of team is Portalnd and what do you need to do to win that one Friday?

a little late on the reply, but they are a big team that can run and have a great go to guy in Dawson. He and his mates got the best of us last night, but there is a good chance we will see them again.

Cheers,

You're not kidding about the east being a mess. Six teams at or above .500, vying for four playoff spots. Us Wings fans are just hanging on to the edge of our seats for the last two games. Good luck to San Jose; hopefully we'll be meeting for a championship match in May!

That would be great!! I'd love to get back to Philly for the "big one". Good luck to the Wings this week, I'm sure alot will get sorted out after this weekend.

Cheers,

Hey Colin are you still doing your skills and drills camps

Myself and Brodie Merrill are doing a hybrid lax camp in Edmonton this summer in late July. Inddor and outdoor instruction. With playing in the MLL, I don't have as much time to do as many camps as I'd like. Where are you located?

Cheers,

Thunder Bay.
