Game 1 of the World Series was already a ratings hit, and now it can be reported that it was viewed by a large number of fans in the US. The 6-1 victory by the Phillies at the new Yankee Stadium was viewed by 19.5 million viewers, a 33 percent increase from Game 1 last year between the Phillies and Rays.
