Hilarious

This gave me a bunch of great ideas for alias names on the road. I laugh every time.

So Phil, are you going to see Get Smart on opening night?

Phil bro, have been a huge fan since the blog started last December. I have 1 point and 1 question for ya:

1. I think you need to go back to the original 65 and rock the high socks again, go back to the roots!

2. What did you think of the new office season?

I agree on the socks

I agree completely, I miss them, plus I think this season of the office was the best.

The asian Harry's are great, you should use a different one in every city.

hahaha. thats great stuff. Since all these people have been raving about The Office..I have started to watch it...and I must say that its quite good.

Kevin

I think this was actually from SNL...but the Office is great too =0)

If you like the current office...try renting the original BBC version (Steve Gervais' creation as well)... Only ran 2 seasons but equally hilarious.. a really good rental MJH

I cant believe they made fun of Big Stein at the end!

Woo Hoo When are you coming back?

hahahaha thats histerical...Steve Carell is a genius

You mean the writers for SNL...

Good luck with the rehab bud.

Can't wait till your return. Hope all goes well with the rehab

love the Giambino's "gold thong"

"who's dick hertz?"

Are you goin to see Get Smart? Ready for your return!!

They forgot to honor the star pitcher on the Pounder School baseball team, Phil Herrup.

Too funny!!! We can't wait for your return in the Boogie Down!!!

good luck on the rehab phil!

Hey Phil I was just wondering if you have seen this http://inside.nike6.com/alkaline-trio/. I know your a fan of theirs and the shoes are pretty cool.

Would love to see it, but it won't let me as the video can only be streamed within the USA :-(
But like the new digs here in Yardbarker.. cool.

I can't believe that is from SNL! That is one of the funniest things I've seen on snl in ages!

this is so funny

Good stuff! Come back Phil!!!

I saw that the night it aired, I laughed the whole time. Phil get ready to pitch again in the majors.

Oh my god! Currently the video library can only be streamed from within the United States.

I can't watch it because I am in Taiwan. T_T....................................

great video

good stuff phil... i must say id like to see the 65 back in action as well

Speaking of funny names... what about Cincinnati Reds' pitching coach Dick Pole.. or Kansas City Royals' first base coach Rusty Kuntz :P

Have you ever thought of playing 1B so the announcers could say "Hughes on first?"

HA! Excuse me... HA!

Phil, what about Chevelle? I picked up that Evan's Blue CD you recommended. Meh. For someone who's into Metallica and Breaking Benjamin I'd have to think you've at least tried out Chevelle, why no mention on the favorite bands?

Yea Chevelle is a good band. Couldn't include them in my top favorites.

Phil, do you like Sevendust? I played in a charity golf tournament that their drummer hosted, they are some good guys and play some good music. I was supposed to play w/Johnny Damon, but he left after the first day. So they paired me with the slumpbuster instead, Mark Grace. When you get back to the team, give Johnny a smack upside the head for me.

Are you jumping on the mustache bandwagon? Good luck on the rehab. Counting the days man.

Please don't jump on the mustache bandwagon. Giambi looks odd enough as it is with one... you don't need one.

Oh no you DIDN'T! Giambi's 'stache is legendary. Shades of Donnie Baseball :)

Mississippi State has a football player named Mike Hunt. And there was a US Representative from New Hampshire named Dick Swett. Some parents just don't think.

I normally roll with Frank Jafritas.

Good to see you back in the saddle big guy.

When are going to see you in stripes again?

Hey Phil. First off, good luck on the rehab process, hope to see you back up in the bigs by late August or so. If we can hit Sept with Wang back and healthy, Andy, Joba, Moose, and yourself, we will be a force. I know Ian is coming along as well, it'll be good to see him back in there. I heard the potential for you to go back to 65 as your number and let go of 34, any truth to that? If anyone else knows something on this let me know.

Oh my. That was hysterical. I missed it the first time around on SNL. Don't crack your rib again laughing too much at it. I have no idea how those guys kept a straight face during the skit.

My friend taught in a school, and there was a girl in the class whose name was spelled
S-H-I-T-H-E-A-D. It was pronounced SHA-THEED. Her parents must have hated her from birth.

That's awesome that you like Alk3. They are great, although I am not digging their new album that much right now.

Dude you're right on key there. Alkaline Trio is a brilliant band Matt Skiba is a genius but I was NOT impressed with the new album. Maybe its the major label let's keep our hopes up. Phil, you're doing really well with the rehab, I've got my fingers crossed for ya.

hurry back phil..and be careful how you sneeze going foward!!

When I was in High School there was a trophy case by the gym. A guy that went to the school I think in the 70's or 80's was this superstar athlete. His name was Richard Whacker, but he went by the nickname Dick. So all the trophies and plaques he has his name on reads Richard "Dick" Whacker. Prett funny.
Alk trio, amazing. Saw them a few times a few years back. They play totally ripped up. It's great. They played a free show in Jersey yesterday at a skate demo. I couldn't go but I'm sure it was awesome.
Phil, you need to check out the show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I've been a huge Office fan since it started and recently got turned onto It's Always Sunny. It's crazy funny.

also, check out the band taking back sunday (although i'm sure you and everyone else has already). they're a great long island band.

I love the George M. Steinbrener name....but i wouldnt use that one as an alias just because it might not go over to well

I was just listening to Evans Blue and I really like it! I hope you come back soon!

Phil, do you play any instruments? You seem like you'd be someone that would play around with the guitar a little bit= ]

Funny stuff Phil.
I love it.

Phil, are you planning to do another Q&A with a teammate? I enjoyed your Q&A with Ian. How about one with Moose? He seems like he'd love to talk pitching.
