Top 30 NBA Point Guards

Chris Paul is for real. He lead the New Orleans Hornets from no playoffs the year before to the 2 spot in the highly competitive West. He's extremely dangerous to other teams when it comes to decison making. From pulling up for a jumper, to driving in the lane to dishing it back out to an open teammate, they're all possibilities for him in just one play. He is the best point guard in the NBA.

Just a few things to say before I wrap this up. Jamal Crawford, he's a shooting guard running the point. He did pretty good, but Nate Robinson really should have taken that spot, and he might get that chance with Mike D'Antoni heading to New York and Marbury possibly opting out or getting traded.

In fact a lot of players in the NBA are going to get their chance to shine in the NBA soon. A lot of the star veterans are nearing retirement. Players like Steve Nash, Chauncey Billups, Allen Iverson, Shaq, Dirk Nowitzki, even Shawn Marion turned 30 a few days ago. Soon they'll start to break down and eventually retire, making room for the younger guys to take charge. In a few years, the NBA's going to be a whole differnt game.

Chris Paul has a bright future in the NBA, already among the eltie....

Whoa, how is Steve Nash lower than Tony Parker? The entire offense was structured around him. And if you look at his shooting averages, he's also more efficient than Deron Williams.

I'm not sure overall I like this list as much as the other ones.

good call

i think he put steve nash there because his age is finally starting to show

I'd put Rondo higher because of his defense, and Kyle Lowry higher because I'm shamelessly biased toward 'Nova guys who can't shoot very well. Does anyone else think Monta Ellis should be on this list? He ran point for a good portion of the season.

I agree Dewey...Just replace Baron with Monta. As much as I love Baron and his amazing contribution to the Warriors Monta I feel should replace him on this list

tell u the truth he is a shooting guard who can play point

<..........................................

deron has GOT to be number 2, i mean baron is great but he's not exactly a true pg, he should be down by tony and nash. also how do you put j kidd before andre miller? kidd was once great but now he's just playing in his own shadow

Miller was fairly flawless this year and has always been solid.

he is so wack

you right

wow, there are about 10 good point guards in this league, the rest suck

felton needs to be lower

<..........................................

deron should be #2, nash #3, and gilbert should be sub-10

gilbert is good but is always hurt

Jamal Crawford is not a PG. But the rest is looking pretty good to me. My vote for best rankings right here. phillyfitz, you have pg and C mixed up. There is actually quite a few good PGs. And Baron is without a doubt a true PG. haha how isnt he?

Agreed.

Barbosa is still listed as a PG. Why isn't he on this list?

Proud to be a Clipper fan..........

how the hell is d-fish below guys like mo williams?

um mo williams is better than fisher u cant tell because hes on milwaukie and they aint goin no where

I think you should have also included TO in your assesment. I agree Monta should be on the list but he is not the 2nd best point in the league as some suggest. Im fine with BD at 2 we all know he got snubbed for the all star game. But their is another player who should be somewhere in the middle of this list if not the top 10. Jose Calderon. In 30.1 minutes Jose averaged 11.2 Points, 2.9 Rebounds, 8.3 Assists, 1.1 Steals, and most impressive of all 1.54 TURNOVERS a game. He also shot .519 from the field, .429 from 3 and .908 at the line. He shot a better percentage than most gaurds in the league. He also averaged 8 minutes less playing time then the other gaurds on this list.

MY BAD I JUST SAW HIS NAME I FEEL DUMB.

Rondo is way, way low on this list, as is Calderon

yeah I'd have Andre Miller above both Kidd and Billups

andre miller is not better than them. He is so poop

ur dumb

Shameless self-promotion: Top 30 point guards by total value. The list takes into account talent, contract, age and potential.

nash is def top 3, baron is way too high

here's the problem with this list:

there are two new york knicks on it.

Jamaal Crawford takes the dumbest shots I have ever seen in my life, and rarely gets over 6 assists a game, something I'd at least expect of someone to make #11 on this list. That team was an absolute $ht show this year, and if this list should prove anything, it's that teams with good point guards are winning teams.

Also, 1 - CP3, 2 - Nash, 3 - D Willay

1. cp3 2. BD 3. d williams...nash should be #20 hahah

how the heck is mo williams # 9?

mo williams is kind of nice

andre milller is so poop he needs to be lower. He cant even shoot a three when his team needs it.

yea i dont like point guards that cant shoot

sorry to break this to u now but jamal crawford is actually a shooting guard that can play the point

hey y in my man rajon rondo not on the top of this list his team is in the finals u know and gilbert should not be considered even an point guard he shots all the time

In my opinion, Calderon should be higher. I'd put him just below Miller. I'd put Jamal Tinsley quite a bit lower -- not only is he a cancerous locker room presence, he is one of the least durable players in the league and turns it over at a high rate.

Overall, pretty good list. It's impossible to please everyone since it's so subjective.
