2012 NFL Draft First Round Predictions

Even though this year’s NFL season isn’t officially over, many are speculating what teams will do in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft. A couple of predictions have been made for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who holds the 24th overall pick. Andrew Perloff, of Sports Illustrated, predicts that the Steelers will pick defensive tackle Dontari Poe out of the University of Memphis in the first round. Perloff writes, “Nose tackle Casey Hampton is 34 and will likely have knee surgery. The 6-5, 350-pound Poe is cut out of the same mold and should be a strong force in the middle of a 3-4 line.” According to www.mockdraft101.com, offensive tackle Zebrie Sanders of Florida State is slated to be chosen by Pittsburgh.
