We are just hours away from kickoff for the first game of the 2012 NFL regular season. I have been compiling information over the last few weeks and after watching over 50 preseason games, I am rolling out my predictions for the season starting with the AFC East. The division winner in the AFC East should not be in question this season as the Jets and Dolphins struggle to find an identity. New England Patriots 12-4 Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has predicted that the Patriots will go 16-0 this year. Have you seen the offensive line play? You can beat the Patriots if you get to QB Tom Brady. New England will put up serious offensive points this season, but has the defense made the needed adjustments to get to the next level? Can Bill Belichick advance once again to the Big Game without a legitimate running game and a questionable offensive line? Buffalo Bills 10-6 I liked the Bills last season and with their additions this year, I like them even more. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was sharp early ...

Rex Ryan is getting sick of people calling the Jets a circus

The New York Jets have not appeared in a Super Bowl since 1969, but the coverage they receive from the media could make some think they are one of the most successful franchises in all of sports. In reality, the coverage stems from the fact that Rex Ryan allows his team to be unfiltered and say whatever they want at all times. Mix that with their willingness to appear on HBO shows...

Sione Po'uha and Eric Smith Out, Keller "Ready to Roll."

Florham Park, N.J. - Rex Ryan has ruled out Sione Po'uha and Eric Smith for Sunday's game against the Bills, but said he expects everyone else to play. Ryan said Po'uha has made improvements and has been begging him to play, but the Jets clearly don't want to risk further injury and feel comfortable enough with Kenrick Ellis starting in place of Po'uha.Smith has...

NFL Prop Bets for 2012 Season Put Rex Ryan on Hot Seat, Expect Big Things From Andrew Luck

The 2012 NFL season is upon us, which means that football is finally back to give us reason to live once again. That also means the return of betting season for some. As always, there plenty of interesting prop bets for fans and bettors alike to look at, in an attempt to gauge what could be on the way for their favorite teams and players this season. Unsurprisingly, Indianapolis...

New York Post front page has Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez depicted as clowns (Photo)

The fine folks over at the New York Post decided to have a little bit of fun with their NFL preview front page as they decided to depict the New York Giants as champions and the Jets as circus performers. New York Jets: Can the Jets Fly in 2012?

The 2012 Jets season will represent the end of the deliberation on multiple topics within the court of fan opinion. Head Coach Rex Ryan promised a Super Bowl win to the fans and everyone else who’d listen. His QB Mark Sanchez, was at the helm for both of those campaigns. Dubbed the “Sanchize” when he was drafted out of USC after only 1 year as a starter, there’s been...

For Jets, a win Sunday starts up front

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Football games are won and lost in the trenches.A cliche we've all heard before. Against a revamped Buffalo Bills defensive front, Sunday's game will be decided by the effectiveness of executing this overused football phrase and not by the arm of Mark Sanchez.Or the legs of Tim Tebow, for that matter.Despite being 5-1 in his career against the Bills...

Woody Johnson won’t discuss Rex Ryan’s future

By Marianne O’Leary New York Jets owner Woody Johnson was asked if the jobs of head coach Rex Ryan and general manager Mike Tannbaum are on the line in any way. “I’m very optimistic,” Johnson told The Newark Star-Ledger.”I’m confident in this organization and this group of young players and experienced players for getting the job done.” Translation: Let’s see how...

Austin Howard Dealt Tough First Assignment

Florham Park, N.J.: As everyone knows, schools across the country are gearing up for another year.  We've all been there—adjusting to some of the easiest days the school year has to offer.  Whether it's receiving a syllabus and pretending to listen how the semester is planned out or filling out emergency contact information, the first few days are a breeze."I almost...

Because time-lapse videos are timeless… Even more so, when Jets fans are forced to look at a 225 foot painted mural of handsome Tom Brady wearing the UGG for Men “Hannen” boot on the corner of West 34th Street and 8th Avenue. Rex Ryan might even drive by one day in his clown car.

New York Jets’ Keys to the Game: Week 1 vs. the Buffalo Bills

1. Be elite on defense. - The strength of the Jets under Rex Ryan has always been the defense. The offense has yet to prove it can be anything more than mediocre, so if the Jets want to win their home opener, they’re going to need their defense to keep the game close so the offense won’t be overburdened. Darrelle Revis is going to have to keep Stevie Johnson under control, and...
