I did my first mock draft not even two weeks ago, but so much has changed since then (mainly the NFL Combine) that I thought an update was needed. The Alex Smith trade should cement Luke Joekel as the number one overall pick now, but everything after that is up in the air. I still have Georgia LB Jarvis Jones going second, but there have been conflicting reports about his heatlth. Damontre Moor and Bjoern Werner have both taken a tumble down the first round as has Star Lotulelei. On the other side of things edge rusher Dion Jordan and Ezekiel Ansah now look like surefire Top 10 picks and Alabama CB Dee Milner looks locked in as Top 5 selection. Can’t it just be April already? 1. Kansas City Chiefs Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M 2. Jacksonville Jaguars Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia 3. Oakland Raiders Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida 4. Philadelphia Eagles Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon 5. Detroit Lions Dee Milner, CB, Alabama 6. Cleveland Browns Ezekiel Ansah, OLB, BYU 7. Arizona Cardinals Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan 8. Buffalo Bills Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia 9. New York Jets Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU 10. Tennessee Titans Chance Warmack, OL, Alabama 11. San Diego Chargers Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma 12. Miami Dolphins Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee 13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington 14. Carolina Panthers Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah 15. New Orleans Saints Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri 16. St. Louis Rams Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas 17. Pittsburgh Steelers Damontre Moore, OLB, Texas A&M 18. Dallas Cowboys Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida St 19. New York Giants Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame 20. Chicago Bears Jonathan Cooper, OL, North Carolina 21. Cincinnati Bengals Alec Ogletree, LB, Georgia 22. St. Louis Rams Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia 23. Minnesota Vikings Arthur Brown, LB, Kansas St. 24. Indianpolis Colts D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama 25. Alex Smith Traded: Taking San Francisco's QBs Is A KC Tradition

So basically if I am to understand this proposed Kansas City Chiefs trade that is going down with the San Francisco 49ers, the Chiefs feel like San Francisco quarterback Alex Smith is going to be the answer at QB for their franchise. Smith could end Chiefs' QB drought

When assessing the Kansas City Chiefs' acquisition of Alex Smith, let's start with what he is not: He's not an aging and injured Joe Montana. Smith is not a stiff and mediocre Steve Bono. Smith shouldn't be compared to an unproven Elvis Grbac or an unworthy Matt Cassel. Let's don't even analogize Smith to Trent Green, who was 31 years old when he arrived...
