MOTEGI, Japan - Back in the August transition from the road/street course string of races to the closing run on ovals, reigning IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon predicted that the driver title would be decided in the season finale. "It's what we expect for IndyCar," he said. "It's going to come down to the final lap, the final corner of Miami." Though he'd probably prefer an alternate storyline - one that had the No. 9 Target Chip Ganassi Racing car 54 points in front of the contenders -- Dixon was clairvoyant. For the fourth consecutive year, it will be a shootout for the championship. Dixon enters the Firestone Indy 300 on Oct. 10 at Homestead-Miami Speedway with 570 points. Teammate Dario Franchitti is second with 565, and Team Penske's Ryan Briscoe has 562. "I guess we don't need a 'Chase,' '' Franchitti said.  Click it: Indy Japan 300 box score | Driver performances at Homestead-Miami Speedway It's a winner-tak...
