If you like to play the on-pace game (silly exercise yet people do it), then this is a great time to check the numbers on Peyton Manning(notes). After Sunday night's 31-9 mauling of the Titans, Manning is averaging 329 passing yards per game. He's on a 5,264-yard pace, so he's positioned to break Dan Marino's single-season mark by a comfortable margin. But surely there a few difficult games ahead, right? Of course there are. Like…um…well, the Colts get the Jets in Week 16. That's no picnic. Honestly, Manning's rest-of-season schedule isn't too scary. After a Week 6 bye, the Colts get the Rams, then the Niners, then the Texans. They'll later get second helpings of Tennessee and Houston, then a Week 15 match-up with Jacksonville. It's not crazy to think that Manning can challenge 5,000 yards, though he'll need to maintain his ridiculous rate of 9.1 yards per pass attempt in order to do it.
