Game Seventy-One - Cubs 7 White Sox 8
WP - Bobby Jenks (2-2) LP - Sean Marshall (3-6) Save - None
For the eleventh time this year the Cubs lost a game in their opponents last at bat. The Cubs offense battled all day and took advantage of four mistakes, three errors, by the White Sox. As has been the story all season with Lou Piniella's crew, as soon as one facet of their game shows improvement another will take a step back. Saturday it was the pitching's turn and they could not keep the Sox over the bases ... and from scoring. The Sox pounded out 14 hits, scored eight times with five walks. Scott Podsednik started the game 4-for-4 with a double, a pair of singles...

Milton Gets A Timeout
And even Alfonso Soriano feels moved to weigh in on things, following the much-discussed (not here, until now) Lou Piniella-Milton Bradley to-do yesterday:"It's the first time I've seen a manager fight with a player, get mad with the player," Soriano said. "Sometimes you can get mad, but not like that."I hope [Bradley] comes back and he can help the team to win. If he's not that...
Pinella Sends Bradley Home After Dugout Tantrum
Lou Pinella is tired of Milton Bradley's crap. So much so that he told the volatile slugger to take off his uniform and leave the ballpark DURING Friday night's game. -SportzAssassin
Cubs drop two out of three on the South Side
I hope everyone had a better weekend than the Chicago Cubs did as they dropped two out of three games on the South side of town to the crosstown rivals. The White Sox pretty much had their way in the three game series and the biggest highlight for the Cubs was probably the altercation between Lou Piniella and Milton Bradey on Friday.
Leave Carlos Zambrano Alone
Good ol’ Phil Rogers never disappoints. Here’s a bit of his (over) reactionary piece about Big Z’s performance on Sunday against the White Sox.
Get Carlos Zambrano out of here, even if the Cubs have to give him away. He’s not the guy you want as the ace of a curse-busting team, and at this point, [...]

It's time to waive bye-bye to Big Z
As Lou Piniella was saying on Friday, enough's enough. Get Carlos Zambrano out of here, even if the Cubs have to give him away. He's not the guy you want as the ace of a curse-busting team, and at this point, it's wishful thinking that he'll ever mature into one.

Ozzie has Lou's back
White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen had no problem with the way Cubs manager Lou Piniella handled the Milton Bradley drama Friday. As a matter of fact, he applauded it. Guillen's problem? There should have been 24 others who policed it beforehand, rather than it escalating to the point it did with the Cubs' skipper.
