Senior placekicker Alex Steigerwald (Mayfield Village, OH-Cleeland Benedictine) was named the Mid-American Conference West Divsion Special Teams Player of the Week for his performances in Toledo's 41-31 victory at Florida International on Sept. 26. Steigerwald converted two field goals against FIU, a 36-yard field goal in the second quarter and a 24-yarder in the fourth stanza. He also made 5-of-5 extra points.
