Lovie Smith did not know if Hunter Hillenmeyer will be able to reclaim his starting middle linebacker position when the Bears host the Lions on Sunday, or if the team will pursue veteran Derrick Brooks, but he did say Hillenmeyer's rib injury is not as serious as the cracked rib that has sidelined tight end Desmond Clark.
