The Sounders still have not been able to score a goal at home in their last few matches in Qwest Field, but that doesn't take away from their valient attempt in this weekend's game against Chivas.  All the big names had a shot on goal; Montero, Ljungberg, Le Toux, Zakuani, and Jaqua.  The team played very well, but Zach Thorton of Chivas played better.

Thorton seemed to make every acrobatic save seem effortless as he parried shot after shot.  Freddie Ljungberg was quoted, "there is really nothing you can do when the keeper has a game like that."  Montero felt the same about the match as Thorton saved some spectacular attempts from the Colombian striker.  Even Sigi Schmid, who always demands top flight football from his players at home, could only shrug his shoulders.  The Sounders came away with a point and still hold on to third place.  But will that be enough to hold a playoff spot?
