I warned yesterday that the Mets could lull themselves into bringing back Carlos Delgado as their power bat next year. I expected that if Delgado looked good in the last two weeks the Mets would be tempted to re-sign the aging slugger.Apparently it hasn't taken Delgado even getting on the field, after seeing him taking batting practice and the thought that he may come cheaper then some of the bigger name free agents, seems to have Omar thinking about Delgado returning next season."We're definitely going to consider him next year," Minaya said before the Mets went out and showed why in a 13-4 loss to the Marlins that completed a three-game Florida sweep. source NY Post
