The AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) just launched a new ad campaign that's turning a few heads. The ads feature close-ups of butts (and other body parts), playing up the sex appeal of beach volleyball. The campaign has been written up by Darren Rovell and mentioned on Deadspin. But everyone has overlooked the titillating part of this story, which the NY Times buried in the very last paragraph of its write up -- the woman pushing the AVP campaign is vice president for business development and legal affairs, Kristine Lefebvre: "After being noticed as a contestant on season six of “The Apprentice,” [Lefebvre] posed for the June 2007 Playboy magazine."I will leave it to your Google searches to dig up pictures of Ms. Lefebvre...With sexy athletes on the sand and sexy brains working behind the scenes, the AVP just might be going somewhere. Now if only we can get some beefier butts playing beach volleyball... paging Venus and Serena!!

I dont know if the world is ready for what the Williams sisters have to offer (esp. Serena)! Their donks are mind-boggling in tennis skirts. Those bikini bottoms are only designed to handle narrow bootys!

I TOTALLY agree about the unis. i wish i played a sport where i could look cute while i played. our bball uniforms are so unflattering. ;-)

Yeah I feel you, those big baggy shorts don't do much for a sister... I wonder what would happen if the WNBA started playing in bikini-type getups??

It might be hard to dribble down the court with your suit up your butt! But if they started wearing even the indoor volleyball uniforms (shorty shorts), it'd be a huge improvement.

LOL. i said i wish they were more flattering. but NO WAY would i ever play basketball in a bikini. there's way to much contact for that. haha, man that would be crazy! we'd be slipping and sliding all over each other. uh, that's kinda gross. LOL
