Starting on March 19th 2009 the Sounders started their inaugural season in the MLS. 30 games later the Sounders have accumulated 11 wins, 11 ties and only 8 losses. The Sounders have really surprised everyone and come strong into the league via this winning record, winning the US Open Cup and making the playoffs as of last week. This week the Sounders will be playing their final regular season game where they started the season, at home, and will be playing FC Dallas.


The Sounders have already clinched and FC Dallas has no shot at the playoffs so the only thing to fight for is placement in the Western Playoffs. The Sounders have 44 points right now right behind Chivas USA, Houston, and LA at 45. The Sounders could potentially get a first place seeding with a win, a LA loss or tie and a tie between Chivas and Houston. If the Sounders were able to move to first place it would give the Sounders crucial home field advantage and will play the 4th place, wild card, team.

There is not a lot to this game as the Sounders have been looking good on the road in their past couple road games. This is also fan appreciation day for the Sounder faithful and I see the players delivering on the field against a not so successful FC Dallas. I see the Sounders winning 2-0, but I kinda want to see them win 3-0 so that there it comes full circle from the first game of the season where the Sounders beat the Redbull 3-0.
