Both the Jets and the Vikings were on a bye this past weekend but since the it is now halfway through the season I figured it would be a good time to check in on Favre 2008 vs. Favre 2009.If you look at the stats there is just one stark contrast between 08 and 09. This difference is the number of Arm Punts thrown. Through 8 games last season Favre had thrown 12 interceptions. This season Favre has thrown just three. I can't really explain why to be honest. Perhaps the Vikings have better deep threats in Harvin and Rice. Perhaps the rushing attack is mildly better. Perhaps the teams they play are worse. Whatever the reason Favre has been much much much better at throwing the ball to the correct colored jersey. The rest of the numbers, like I said, are basically identical. Favre is basically throwing and completing the same amount of passes per game. His completion percentage was mildly better in 2008. He's thrown for one more touchdown thus far this season than he did...
