Griffin's striking arsenal too much for Franca

Hermes Franca may be a goofy looking guy and a bit unorthodox on the feet but he is a tough guy to finish. He stood in front of Tyson Griffin as the Xtreme Couture fighter threw everything but the kitchen sink his way. Griffin used his jab, uppercuts, inside leg kicks and straight rights to crush Franca. Griffin used a beautiful inside leg kick, straight right combo to floor Franca where he pounced on the stunned Brazilian to score a knockout win at 3:26 of the second round. Franca (19-8, 4-3 UFC) had only been finished once via strikes in 26 career fights. He actually held up well in the fight after not even coming close to the lightweight limit of 155 pounds.
