How could I have missed this?
On November 6, 1869, Rutgers defeated Princeton 6-4 in the first game of college football in history.
I don’t think those two teams have played since and I’m actually fairly sure Rutgers didn’t win another game until 2006.
Just saying.
Anyway, the point is, yesterday was college football’s 150th birthday!
