Japanese teen LHP Yusei Kikuchi won't come to U.S.

The Kyodo News is reporting that 18-year-old lefty Yusei Kikuchi has chosen to stay in Japan rather than come to the United States to play professionally. The Rangers made a strong bid to encourage Kikuchi to join the organization, going so far as to send lefty Derek Holland to Japan to extol the virtues of the club's pitching plans.
