Besides winning the World Series, Joe Girardi spent some time last night helping a motorist who had been in an accident. While driving home from Yankee Stadium this morning Girardi pulled over to help a woman who crashed into a wall on the Cross County Parkway. Here's more from the NY Post:The guy wins the World Series, what does he do? He stops to help," Westchester County police officer Kathleen Cristiano, who was among the first to arrive at the accident scene, told the paper. "It was totally surreal."..."He was jumping up and down, trying to flag me down," Cristiano, a Yankees fan, said. "You don't expect him standing by a car accident trying to help."The driver in the accident, Marie Henry, was able to get out of the car by the time officers arrived and declined a trip to the hospital. Girardi ran across all lanes of the often busy parkway to aid Henry, who did not know she was being helped by the latest manager to win the Fall Classic...
