The Jets Blog:
You voted and once again Mark Sanchez will place another trophy in his case as he has been selected as Pepsi’s NFL Rookie of the Week for the third straight week after his daredevil performance against the Titans.
Sanchez completed 17 of 30 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns in the Jets’ 24-17 win over Tennessee, becoming the first rookie quarterback to start and win his team’s first three games in a season in the past 40 years.
Chez is off to a great start and is making strides during his rookie campaign. As long as the Jets do well on both sides of the ball, I fully expect to see Sanchez to keep up with his outstanding performances. But I would like to give a shout out to Matthew Stafford who finally proved to the fans why he was selected first overall after beating out the Redskins for the Lions first win since 2007 (and although the Redskins have issues, for the Lions to do this is a major victory).
