John Fay at the Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting today that the Pirates and Reds are switching high-A affiliates in 2010, with the Lynchburg Hillcats becoming part of the Reds' system and the Sarasota Reds moving to Bradenton and becoming part of the Pirates' system. The new Bradenton Whatevers will be part of the Florida State League, which is convienient for the Pirates with their spring training headquarters right threre, but it's a real drag for me because they'll play all their games in Florida while the Hillcats are in the Carolina League and thus within driving range for me a couple of times a year. Haven't seen any confirmation of this from the Pirates' side of things, but I'm assuming it's coming soon. via Red Reporter
