Surprised Kinsler was overlooked again? Don't be
So Ian Kinsler got snubbed again. Surprised? Don't be. He's accustomed to playing second fiddle to Dustin Pedroia, says Tracy Ringolsby.
Is Pedroia dustin’ off the old stroke?
Dustin Pedroia chugged to first base with his head down, so he didn’t see what might have been the longest home run he has hit in a Red Sox uniform. In the first inning of yesterday’s 8-4 win over the Mariners, Pedroia mashed a homer that clanged off the AAA sign over the Green Monster.
Six Red Sox Head to St. Louis
Six members of the Boston Red Sox will be heading to St. Louis for the All-Star Game on July 14th. Jason Bay and Dustin Pedroia were elected by the fans. That guy from New York (his name escapes me at the moment) beat out Kevin Youkilis at first, but Youk was added to the roster, as were pitchers Jonathan Papelbon and Josh Beckett. Also on is Tim Wakefield, who will be making his...

All-Star Sox
Major League Baseball announced the All-Star selections today, an amalgam of selections among fans, players, and managers.Dustin Pedroia and Jason Bay got voted onto the team. Bay, newly minted as a US citizen, gets the nod in left.Player voting brought...
Ian Kinsler needs your votes to make All-Star team
OF Josh Hamilton (starter) and 3B Michael Young (reserve as voted by players, managers and coaches) have already made the All-Star team (the game is Tuesday, July 14 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis) from the Rangers. Starter Kevin Millwood didn't quite make it. I really thought he deserved a bid, but there were plenty of pitchers to choose from and every team has to have a representative...
Rangers moving up in FoxSports power rankings
It's amazing what a difference a few weeks makes. The Rangers dropped steadily in the FoxSports.com rankings during a June swoon. But after winning two of three from the Angels and sweeping the Tampa Bay Rays, the Rangers had the biggest move up the power rankings of any team. Texas jumped six spots to land at No. 4, one spot ahead of the Angels.
Here's the writeup beside...
Red Sox Place Six Players On 2009 AL All-Star Team
The 2009 MLB All-Star Selections were announced this afternoon and the Boston Red Sox led all of Major League Baseball with six selections.
Jason Bay and Dustin Pedroia were voted into start by the fans while Jonathan Papelbon and Josh Beckett were voted in by the players. Rounding out the selections by Tampa Bay Rays manager [...]
Thoughts on the AL All-Star TeamYou can find the full roster here.In my opinion - Ian Kinsler definitely got jobbed by the selections. He should be the starting 2nd baseman. I'm a Red Sox fan but Dustin Pedroia doesn't deserve it this year. Kinsler was more deserving than his teammate Michael Young but Young got the nod probably because the team needed another 3rd baseman...
