SMU used a 12-2 run midway through the second half, holding Tulane scoreless for five minutes to turn a tie-game into a double-digit lead and hand the Tulane women's basketball team a 61-49 loss Thursday night at Moody Coliseum. Megan Valicevic led Tulane with 11 points and seven rebounds. Indira Kaljo added 10 points with a pair of three-pointers.
