Each October baseball fans are forced to endure the mispronunciations and incoherent ramblings of Tim McCaver, and squirm while Joe Buck pushes his opinion upon the pastime-watching public. The cherry on top, of course, comes when Buck expresses that opinion, asks why, then answers his own question with equal assurance and arrogance. But you know what? With TBS and ESPN teams featuring the likes of Chip Caray, Ron Darling and Joe Morgan, it’s not like FOX has the market cornered on suck. And while it certainly seems clear that we’ll never be blessed to hear Vin Scully call another nationally televised World Series, maybe we should adopt the Costanza stance.
