Clippers TopBuzz:
Blake Griffin is everything you would want in a #1 pick in the draft. He is everybody's college basketball player of the year. He is the #1 pick on every single mock draft in the nation. His work ethic off the court will shame his team mates into working out harder. His effort on the court will urge his team mates to put out harder as well. His accomplishments while playing will make others want to rise to a higher level. His character will shine. He will eventually lead this team. Yes, it will be Blake Griffin's team. So where does Blake Griffin fall short? Well, he is not King James. At least not yet. So why will the Clippers not be inticed to trade this valuable asset? Certainly there will be tempting offers by a lot of teams in the league that look at the Clippers as chumps to be played. But Mike Dunleavy has gotten the better of other teams in recent trades. Certainly, proclaiming to the world that they will indeed draft Blake puts them in the best possi...

The Clippers Decide It's Rubio or Griffin
Well I guess Ricky Rubio is in the #1 draft pick discussion considering the Clipshow are hawking both his and Blake Griffin's images to sell season tickets for the big article on their homepage. However, if you're not Rubio or Griffin you can end that hope now.
2009 NBA Mock Draft Version 1.0
With the NBA Draft Lottery behind us, we now know the exact order of the first 14 picks. The Los Angeles Clippers hit paydirt when they won the right to draft Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin with the first overall pick. The Grizzlies moved up from #6 to #2, and the Thunder moved up one spot [...]
Speed Read: LA Clippers’ Balls Have Dropped Again
The Los Angeles Clippers won the most favored martyr award last night in the NBA Draft Lottery and, with it, the top pick in the 2009 NBA Draft next month (likely to be Blake Griffin). The Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder now follow, leaving the Grizzlies to pretend Mike Conley, Jr. is the answer [...]
Clippers Win NBA Draft Lottery
Almost a year after they lost Elton Brand to free agency, the Los Angeles Clippers will have an opportunity to replace him with Blake Griffin after striking gold in the NBA Draft Lottery. Even the Clippers can’t screw this one up…
Washington Wizards Get 5th Pick in NBA Draft Lottery
After all of the anticipation had mounted it was a surprising revelation to hear the Washington Wizards envelope be the fifth pick, the worst possible pick for the team to receive. It instantly shattered to hopes for Blake Griffin or Ricky Rubio and started what will surely be a hectic guessing game for the next month. Where do journalists start in predicting what the Wizards will...
Lottery Predictions
1) Sacramento2) Oklahoma City3) MemphisWow, those are 3 terrible markets. I also predict that Blake Griffin will be a good, but not great NBA player -- not the #1 guy on a good team, but a good #2 or a great #3. There's no question that he has superb size/athleticism, but it's not going to give him the same advantage that he had in college, and I'm not sure if he'...
Griffin is a great fit for the Clips
Truthfully, Blake Griffin would be a great fit just about anywhere, but the Los Angeles Clippers can really use him. He’s athletic, has an improving offensive game and can really rebound. He has the potential to be a franchise power forward.
When the Clippers signed Baron Davis to a fat contract last summer, things we’re looking [...]
The Blake Griffin Suicide Watch Begins Now
With the Clippers winning the lottery tonight, they get the first pick in this year's draft -- one hopes they do better with it than, say, Micahel Olowokandi -- and while I don't want to depress any of the fourteen remaining Clip Fans in the world, I'm not seeing how consensus number one pick Blake Griffin is going to fix this mess. Not unless he's able to make Baron...
The 2009 NBA Draft Lottery, What are your mock lottery picks?
What up everyone, here is what came out of the 2009 NBA Draft Lottery drawing this evening. The #1 pick may very well be Blake Griffin, but there is a lot of talent out there. Chase Budinger, Greg Monroe, Brandon Jennings if he decides to enter, Ricky Rubio From Spain, etc.

NBA Draft Lottery: Who Will Get to Be (Wrongly) Pressured to Take Blake Griffin No. 1
Everyone will be watching the NBA Draft Lottery tonight and whomever gets the No. 1 pick will be deemed the big winner of the night.I disagree. To me, the big winner will be the team picking No. 2. That team will be probably picking Ricky Rubio as their point guard of the future. I've been a Rubio guy for a couple years now (hat tip to SLAM Magazine for that). He's impressed...
Griffin Reacts to NBA Draft Lottery
Oklahoma's Blake Griffin has spent quite a bit of time in California over the past couple of months. It appears that he could get even more acquainted with the West Coast in the years to come, as the Los Angeles Clippers won the rights to the first pick in the NBA Draft at Tuesday night's lottery proceedings in Secaucus, N.J. The 6-10, 255-pound Griffin, the consensus national...

Sue Ogrocki/Associated PressFormer Oklahoma standout Blake Griffin is considered the consensus No. 1 pick in next month's NBA Draft. The ping-pong balls for Blake Griffin's future bounced all the way out to Los Angeles. Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Clippers...
Draft lottery recap
The draft lottery just finished with Blake Griffin sentenced to start his NBA career with the Clippers. The Jazz, meanwhile, avoided the potential nightmare scenarios of either the Knicks or the Thunder landing the No. 1 overall pick. In fact, however small the Jazz's odds were of acquiring a big man like Chris Kaman were going into Tuesday...
