3A Metro Girls Soccer
Seattle Prep 2 Lakeside 1
The Seattle Prep womens' soccer team faced off against Lakeside in the teams' first meeting since Lakeside (ranked number one during last season) was defeated in the Metro League Final in the 2008 season. Prep scored first in the 42nd minute as freshman phenom Emma Healy lofted a shot in off a cross from returning sophomore Sarah Coluccio.
Lakeside's goal came in the form of an own goal in the 54th minute as the Panthers attempted to relieve the pressure of a Lion attack. After a heated rivalry battle Prep came away with the win at the 80th minute as senior captain Hannah Black dribbled in and scored off of a spectacular cross from fellow senior captain Emily Eckmann. -Garrett Hendricks

3A Metro Boys XC
At Lincoln Park, O'Dea, Blanchet, Eastside Catholic and Seattle Prep all met up. Blanchet won the meet with Steven Robinson taking first. Prep's top 15 put in a hard tempo effort as they are gearing up for the big Richland Invite this Saturday against North Central (No.1 3A) and Mt. Spokane (No.3 3A). Drew O'Donoghue McDonald led the panthers and Raleigh Bean of Blanchet rounded out the top three. All teams are gearing up when Metro is up for grabs in two weeks
