True Hoop:
An anonymous TrueHoop reader, and former die-hard Sonic fan writes about his complicated relationship with NBA basketball as of last night: How is it even possible for an Arizona State fan to not enjoy NBA Draft night 2009? Let me tell you. As a big Seattle Sonics fan for two decades (1987 to 2008), the last couple of years have obviously not been that fun. One of the most painful aspects of the transformation of my team into the Zombie Sonics has been the fact that Sam Presti has constructed something pretty good in the town-that-shall-not-be-named. A welcome sight for Sam Presti. A welcome sight James Harden. A death of sorts for a former Sonics fan with season tickets to Arizona State. (Jennifer Pottheiser/NBAE/Getty Images) He's had some old school Sonic luck (jumping into the second pick to get Durant, just like they did with Gary Payton), and he's put together a fun group of young talent. I would really enjoy rooting for this team in Seattle wearing green. But I ca...

Video: James Harden highlight reel
To help you get a better idea of what some of tomorrow's projected top NBA Draft picks are capable of, I'll be posting some highlight reels from YouTube. Arizona State's James Harden is projected by many as a top five pick. His reel was compiled by jwester555. (NSFW Audio for part of the video)
O.K. City Thunder go with James Harden at No. 3
There had been talk that the Thunder would take 18-year old point guard Ricky Rubio, but they surprised the pundits by taking 6-5 guard James Harden out of Arizona State.
Harden averaged 20.1 points and 4.2 assists last season as sophomore. The AP All American is a lefty shooter and not the fastest guy in the world ... but he is wearing a sweet bowtie.

Two Sun Devils Drafted For First Time Since 1983
James Harden and Jeff Pendergraph were not even close to being born the last time ASU had two Sun Devils drafted. Tonight marked the first time a pair of Sun Devils have been drafted since 1983 when Byron Scott was fourth and Paul Williams 45th.
Where Will Our Devils Go Tonight?
Leave it to Shaq-Fu to dominate the headlines on a day when we should be celebrating two proud Sun Devils being taken in tonight’s 2009 NBA Draft.
Either way, we here at PFN will be closely monitoring where James Harden and Jeff Pendergraph go at tonight’s draft. Harden will even be one of the 15 guys [...]
The Thunder Go With Harden
3. Oklahoma City Thunder: James Harden, Arizona State. Stuart Scott is feeling the bow tie. Oh, and James Harden is a pretty good fit for the Thunder. He is an efficient offensive player and his game is NBA ready. Ah crap, I'm already falling behind. I didn't see this one coming, I was banking on Tyreke Evans here. Regardless Harden isn't that much of a surprise. He doesn...
Thunder Go With James Harden
by Tom ZillerFiled under: NBA Draft, ThunderIt has been said of late the draft begins with Oklahoma City at No. 3. Well, Sam Presti didn't pull out a bag of tricks -- he took the somewhat expected pick, shooting guard James Harden of Arizona State. Harden figures to slide right into the Thunder line-up between Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.Speaking of Westbrook, who earlier...
Spotted : The Worst Dressed Man At MSG
Well done and a $5 Arby’s gift certificate to whichever ESPN cameraman managed to find the one LA Clippers fan in attendance tonight at the NBA Draft.
So far :
1) Clippers - Blake Griffin (Oklahoma)
2) Grizzlies - Hasheem Thabeet (UConn)
3) Thunder - James Harden (Arizona State)
4) Kings - Tyreke Evans (Memphis)
5) T-Wolves - Ricky Rubio (DKV [...]
1. (3) James Harden, SG
The Oklahoma City Thunder have selected 19-year old shooting guard James Harden with the third pick in the NBA Draft. The Thunder will probably team Harden with Russell Westbrook in the backcourt for the 2009-2010 season. Harden played in 69 games (68 starts) at Arizona State and he averaged 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, [...]
James Harden Becomes Second-Highest NBA Pick In Sun Devil History
Another highlight for the Arizona State men's basketball program has happened as James Harden became the second Sun Devil ever drafted in the NBA, as James Harden went third overall to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Kings get pick of the point guards
The first mini-surprise of the draft: The Thunder take Arizona State SG James Harden third overall.
That means they won't mess with moving Russell Westbrook off the ball. He'll stay at the point with Harden probably sliding right into the starting lineup.
Not sure about Harden's choice to go with the bow tie tonight.
Do the Kings take Ricky Rubio or Tyreke Evans?
