Okay we just knew this was how our baseball years was going to end. Maybe this is a test from the Baseball Gods to see just how devoted we are to our NY Mets. It’s kind of like a baseball fan version of SURVIVOR.
I’ve made my position on this Sodom-Gomorrah World Series in my monologue on PRO BASEBALL CENTRAL this past Thursday and I’ve been reading several Mets sites that are trying to figure out which result is best for Mets fans. There is no best result.
What Mets fans have to wish for is a four game sweep to end this awful season and get the off season started.
If you feel you have to root for one of these two teams the thing to take into account is which fan base do you want to see heartbroken? Which fan base do you want the FOX cameras to zoom in on with tears down their face?
