Ashleigh McCord pounded a match-high 16 kills and posted a match-high .714 hitting percentage in leading the Rice Owls volleyball team to a 3-1 victory over UTEP in a Conference USA tussle in Memorial Gym. The win gives Rice an 18-8 overall record and a 10-5 slate in C-USA, while the Miners are now 11-17 and 4-11 in league action.
