Sportsday:
Cowboys coach Wade Phillips doesn't get the chance to attend many high school football games. But he will be in Grapevine later tonight for the One Heart Bowl, the game between Grapevine Faith Christian and the Gainesville State School.
"I'm an honoree or something,'' Phillips said. "I don't know what I'll do, maybe the coin toss.
"It's a pretty neat deal. I think a lot of people know the story.''
The story: Gainesville is a maxiumum security facility for juveniles that never has a home game. Grapevine coach Kris Hogan wanted to send those kids a message of hope and unconditional love, so he asked everyone at Grapevine Faith Christian to sit on Gainesville's side and cheer for their players by name in last year's game. The outreach continued as parents at Faith Christian set up a mentoring program with the State School.
This is the second game between the schools and will become an annual event.
