Last night the New York Yankees won their 27th World Series title and did it in impressive fashion. But as I was watching the game, I got to thinking. What if this World Series is rigged to give the Yankees a title in their new stadium? What if this was a way to try and hush the A-Rod steroid bit.
With all of the negative press and the hoopla over ticket prices at the new Yankee Stadium, would it benefit the MLB to sway a championship New York’s way? If you really think about it, yes it does. Just like with the other major sports, the MLB has a sport hard on for everything New York.

So as I sat and watched the celebration, I felt the sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach that the Yankees were going to win a world series no matter what happened. Because we have all seen in recent years, the MLB suffers when the Yankees aren’t good. So for this reason I do feel that the MLB had the umpires give a slight advantage to the Yankees.

Can we put an asterisk next to this championship?
