A 21-year old man used an alias and forged documents to play high school football in Michigan, according to a report by NBC Sports.A starting cornerback named Javier Jones helped the Mount Pleasant High football team to a 4-5 record this past season, but it is likely that the school will be forced to forfeit those victories because they unknowingly used an illegal player who's real identity is James Nash. Nash fooled many students and staff by claiming that he was a transfer student from East Lansing, Michigan. The Michigan High School Athletic Association states that a player must be 19-years old or younger to be eligible to compete in high school athletics, which we now know Nash was not.“Did he look older than he was? He looked like any other athletic senior,” head football coach Jason McIntyre told The Associated Press. “I don’t think he had any interceptions. He was not a dominant player.”Nash has since been expelled from school as police conduct an investigation on the matter.A similar situation happened in 2010 when Guerdwich Montimere, who was 22 at the time, posed to be a 16-year old basketball phenom at Permian High School in Odessa, Texas. Both incidents are just examples of how desperate some people are to relive their glory days.Via Off the Bench.
