Teams, players and schools aren’t the only entities that can have a tough off-season. Bowl games can also be included in that list. Following a bad match-up/game in the 2011 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl between Oklahoma and Connecticut, the Fiesta Bowl organization went through a tumultuous spring and summer. There’s no need to rehash all the details, the reports and stories are everywhere and readily available to read and study. But more importantly the Bowl game, the committee and all the organizers have come through the last year and appear to be a leaner, stricter, and better run organization. To the average fan or benefactor of one of the countless organizations or charities the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl gives to each year, it’ll be un-noticeable.
