Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul is in talks to join Christian Bale, Sigourney Weaver, and John Turturro in the Ridley Scott biblical film Exodus. The film will be produced by Peter Chernin, Garret Basch, and Steve Zaillian (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) who is also writing the film. According to Variety: Paul will play the Hebrew slave Joshua who goes on to lead the people onto the promised land after Moses. Weaver and Turturro will portray the parents of the pharoah Ramses, which will be played by Joel Edgerton. Zaillian (“The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”) is also penning the script. The plan is for a September start date, with production traveling to England, Spain and Morocco. [Variety] This proves to be a strong cast coming together in a film that will be headed by an elite director. In addition, the bible has some of the most powerful stories ever told. Exodus will be a worthy film, and it will be interesting to see Aaron Paul take on a role other than Jesse Pinkman.
