For the first time since 1995, Hockey East will be welcoming a new member this season.
Notre Dame joins the fray as the conference’s first non-New England school, and it brings with it a rich college hockey tradition. The Fighting Irish have never won a national title, but they have reached the Frozen Four twice in the last six years and earned an NCAA tournament berth six times since 2004.
