Love him or hate him, John Travolta has an accomplished resume, with classic characters such as Danny Zuko and Vincent Vega well-engrained in Hollywood lore.
As it pertains to us, one of his next projects could have him venturing into the NFL.
Speaking Thursday at the Zurich Film Festival, the 58-year-old Travolta revealed he’s considering doing a biopic in which he’d portray legendary Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi.
“I’m also considering doing a US film about the football coach Vince Lombardi, who coached my dad [Salvatore Travolta] before he went professional,” Travolta said, via ScreenDaily.com. “I would play Vince Lombardi.”
“Considering” being the operative word here, as the film has yet to be confirmed. Much like ESPN Films’ reported Lombardi movie — featuring fellow megastar Robert De Niro — this very well may never get off the ground.
Then again, that’d probably be for the better. Travolta’s style of acting doesn’t mesh with Lombardi’s histrionically-uniq
