On Friday, New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez met with Major League Baseball officials in connection to the Biogenesis scandal. The meeting happened before Rodriguez’s latest rehabilitation game in the minor leagues was rained out.
Rodriguez did not speak to reporters following the meeting, but sources confirmed the meeting to the Associated Press.
MLB investigators are continuing their probe into Biogenesis, the closed Miami anti-aging clinic. Rodriguez previously admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs while a member of the Texas Rangers from 2001-03, but has denied using them since. His name surfaced in connection to Biogenesis in January in a report by the Miami New Times.
