from Spector’s Hockey, Jim Matheson (Edmonton Journal) reports of some talk the Buffalo Sabres might try to acquire former Sabre Martin Biron from the NY Islanders due to a lack of confidence in backup Patrick Lalime. SPECTOR’S NOTE: Interesting rumor but Biron won’t be going anywhere until Isles starter Rick DiPietro is back in the lineup and even then the Sabres would be in a bidding war as there are several teams which would likely be interested in Biron later this season. more rumor talk…
