An Odd Streak Nears Its End

The Kansas City Chiefs visit FedEx Field on Sunday and, at this point, two things are certain: the Chiefs are winless after five games and the Redskins' six-game streak of playing a winless opponent to open the season will end. It's a somewhat dubious streak, given that the New York Giants could have had neither a victory nor a loss when they faced the Redskins (2-3) in a season opener at Giants Stadium. But the fact is the Giants, when they played the Redskins, were winless. And it's also a fact that three teams (the Giants, Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers) each got their first victory against the Redskins (2-3).
