Professional baseball player Andruw Jones is your newest professional athlete to be arrested.  Check out the story via AJC.com. Nicole Jones told officers she and Andruw had hosted a Christmas party Tuesday night and that Jones had consumed several alcoholic beverages. After the party, she told Jones that they needed to prepare the house for Christmas morning and asked him to help her assemble a computer table, the police report stated. According to the report, Nicole Jones said Andruw became belligerent as they worked on the desk and grabbed her by the left arm. She pulled away and attempted to go upstairs, according to the report, but Jones grabbed her by the ankle, pulled her down and put his hands around her neck and said, “I want to kill you, I want to [expletive] kill you.” Nicole Jones said she was able to get away and went to the home of her parents, who live nearby. Police said when they questioned Andruw Jones about the incident, he denied hurting his wife. Jones spent last season with the New York Yankees, hitting .197 with 14 homers and 34 RBIs in what was primarily a reserve role.  Jones earlier this month signed a $3.5 million, one-year contract with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of Japan's Pacific League.  Not sure what makes these professional athletes do such dumb things, but I'm going to take a guess and say that they think they're invincible.   I'm not going to go into the whole drunk fight thing, because I'm not sure what happened yet, (although I'm sure his wife is probably telling the truth) but the bigger story is how the hell a team in the Japan Pacific League can afford to pay him $3.5 million dollars.  First off, he's washed up beyond belief, and second he's not even that big of a name in the first place.  What a joke.  Can they pay me 100 thousand dollars to hit 4 home runs and bat .180???  Someone let me know how this is possible.  Hopefully they take away his contract for being a drunk idiot.
