New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie told the NFL Network that when he entered the NFL back in 2006 as a first-overall pick, he didn’t have any responsibility and acted that way.  He’s not proud of the way he carried himself. “I didn’t have no responsibility,” Cromartie said, via ProFootballTalk.com. “I spent $10,000 one weekend, I spent $10,000 the next weekend.” Cromartie admits he wasted $5 million in the first three years of his pro career. “I wasted $5 million in my first three seasons,” Cromartie said. “I had two Dodge Chargers, two Escalades, two BMWs. My first three years, I probably spent, probably, $5 million. And I don’t have nothing to show for it at all.” Cromartie prioritized spending on weekend partying and cars over taking care of his children, and so by the time he got traded to the Jets in 2010, he was so far behind on child support that the Jets gave him a $500,000 salary advance just so he could make up all his back payments. Unlike some athletes Cromartie saw where he went wrong early on and was able to recover.  Not everyone is able to do that.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... Jets may use Geno Smith as a ‘change-of-pace’ QB

The New York Jets don’t have a clue about who the QB is that they drafted. Sure, they know his name is Geno Smith, but beyond that, it appears that their scouting of him is something that nobody else saw. According to ESPN New York, the Jets plan on using Smith as a change-of-pace QB in the event that Mark Sanchez earns the starting job for the 2013 season. If this scenario sounds...

The New York Jets do some pretty strange things.
