Are we getting closer to a playoff system in college football?

World peace. Gas prices under $2.00 per gallon. The cancellation of Jersey Shore. These are all things that would make me very, very happy. But nothing would make me happier than if we finally got a playoff system in college football to legitimately determine a national champion. OK, world peace would make me way happier. But you get the point. Hope for a playoff system seems bleak at best, but at least there’s a slight movement in that direction.
