Jones
Yes, Andruw Jones has now hit 2 home runs against the Dodgers this year, but that's not the reason i'm talking about. No, the reason i'm talking about is his apparent inability to live in reality.
He said he asked out mainly because of the way he was treated by Dodgers owner Frank McCourt.
Really? The guy who trusted you with 36 million dollars is the reason you wanted out? Why is that?
"He wasn't standing behind me, I think," Jones said, adding that if McCourt had shown him more respect, "I almost definitely would be part of the L.A. Dodgers right now."
Newsflash dude, respect isn't automatically given because you're old and used to be good. It has to be earned from people, especially from fans. Nobody would care how good a guy Greg Maddux was with other teams if he came to the Dodgers and started random fights in the clubhouse.

So based on the amount of whining you did about the fans booing you, and based on the fact that you came into camp overweight and unmotivated, exactly what obligation did McCourt have to stand behind you?
"As things were going along, I didn't think I was in their plans," Jones said. "I had to make a decision and move on.

"I know they had Matt Kemp, who was going to play center field all the time, so I didn't feel like I was in their plans."
You would have been in their plans if you didn't hit .158/.256/.249/.505 over 75 games, you self righteous douche. You were the one who didn't do your job, so why are you entitled to be a part of anybody's plans?
Jones said he started to get the sense that he was on his way out of Los Angeles when he met with McCourt before undergoing knee surgery last May.

"It was disrespect," Jones said of the way McCourt spoke to him.
If somebody guarantees me a contract to build a house, and I come into to work everyday absolutely wasted and unable to do my job, and then a quarter of the way through the contract I stop showing up at work because I have to go to Alcoholics Anonymous, then I would think I deserve to be treated like ****. After all, that's how I acted.
While acknowledging that McCourt paid him a hefty salary, Jones said the owner had no right to complain about a deal that was mutually agreed upon.

"I got paid that money because that was my value," Jones said, pointing to the numbers he posted in 12 seasons with the Atlanta Braves.
You got paid that money because Ned Colletti and Frank McCourt are idiots. Then again, it shouldn't surprise me that he thinks he deserved it. After all, this is the same guy who convinced himself that the boos at Dodger Stadium last year were actually cheers.
